We complete a thorough inspection of the roof, exterior walls, foundation and surrounding grounds to ensure that your home new home will be safe and secure.
Electrical & Plumbing
We complete a point by point inspection to make sure that your electrical system is safe and your plumbing is leak free.
Attic & Basement
The two most important elements of any home inspection are the attic and basement. We inspect attics end to end whenever possible and complete a basement inspection down to each and every joist.
Heating & Cooling
We inspect both heating and cooling systems. In addition to a visual inspection, we operate both systems and test the outputs with a temperature digital laser thermometer.

Home Defender offers digital radon testing with results in 48 hours! No two or three day turn around time while waiting for lab results. We also inspect for wood destroying insects and offer well water quality testing.
Alan and Pat Thornton are New York State licensed and insured home inspectors. We are also certified by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) In addition to being licensed and certified, Pat spent 40 years as a professional electrician and Alan has over 15 years of experience in insurance.
